The "+" in ib Graphics + stands for my additional passion for drawing caricatures and face painting. In 2018, during the beginning of my collage days, I like most people work allot of JOBS. Mainly management positions, sales, logistics, inventory, HHA and customer service jobs. I enjoyed interacting with the customers but not necessarily the authority figure above my position, hours or wages. I wanted to find a Career something I looked forward to doing everyday, got paid properly for my time and could thrive as an individual. I went on indeed.com and searched "drawing jobs". for obvious reasons and came a crossed a caricature company that also did face painting and I would be making my own money as an individual with my art ,no management. I sent in my application immediately with the required portfolio and began drawing caricatures and face painting in the Tampa Zoo and Aquarium in Florida for almost a year before the cancer treatments and high risk pregnancy kind of stopped the flow of things. Fast forward to 2021, I had given birth to my healthy baby girl Ava (whom at this time would have been 2) ,beat cancer 3xs and was now only on daily medications and monthly immune therapy treatments, moved back to my home town in Ohio, and 2yrs into selling and creating logo designs as a hobby since I wasn't licensed with the state yet. I started to do podcasts to promote myself, my journey and my business venture it was time to make a dream reality. I wasn't given another chance at life, I was given 3! I was definitely gonna enjoy my life all the way through starting with how I made money. I did my first podcast at Live@225 with L-Dro the rapper , Darren of IamAkron.com and Randy of TD3 Ice Cream and absolutely fell in love with the ambiance, the energy and the guys. Eventually I became apart of the show interviewing local talents, politicians, and businesses whilst drawing their caricatures live during the show, then presenting them at the end as a gift. With in doing this I made many of valuable connections that actually hired me to face paint and do caricatures for a private event, which grew into me working pop-up shops and local events in downtown Akron, The Akron Children's and Akron Art Museums , The Akron Civic Theater and a few events in Barberton for the next few years. I was taken off of the daily medications and after a shocking discovery that I was pregnant taken off of immune therapy treatments as well. Unfortunately my cancer came back at the end of 2023 after the birth of my 2nd daughter. Currently as of April 2025 I'm awaiting a bone marrow transplant so I'm not able to do to many face to face interaction ,which has slowed the face painting business all the way down considering those jobs manly deal with children . I still do full themed caricatures for commission and small private events which brings smiles to peoples faces and in turn brings a smile to mine.
